cupcake: {bellevue, wa child photographer}

Anyone who knows me knows that I have an obsession with cupcakes. I just returned from a quick trip to New York City to visit a wonderful friend who, along with her hubby, shares and understands the need to taste every imaginable cupcake in the universe. While in the Big Apple, I was treated to some of the world’s finest cupcakes, including the famous Magnolia Bakery (two locations, in fact) and came back to Seattle with a renewed drive to find out whether Seattle can meet my newly raised cake expectations.

So, when I came across New York Cupcakes in Bellevue, I could tell by the photos on the website that it would be such a fun place to do the pictures for the latest summer outfit for Baby Go Retro … red polka dot halter and the most flipping awesome pants a 3 year old could ever wish for.

If you haven’t been to New York Cupcakes, you have to go, if only to check out the pink big chill fridge, which has me scheming and plotting to figure out how I can redesign my entire house around it. It would give me every excuse to buy that pink KitchenAid mixer that I’ve been salivating over for years, wouldn’t it? The cupcakes were delightful in every way, and the owner, Lisa, was an absolute peach to let us have our little photo shoot in her shop, pretend to make calls on her vintage pink phone, and pose by her pretty pink fridge.
